TEDxCongaree Vista is Here!

I am excited to announce that I have been selected as a speaker for the first TEDx event to be held in Columbia in 10 years! TEDxCongaree Vista will take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026 from 10am-5pm at the Columbia Convention Center. I will be talking about Direct Primary Care and how it helps to restore trust in our broken healthcare system. I’ve heard bits and pieces of the other 15 speakers’ talks, and I have to say, everyone has done a great job! The theme of the event is “Changemakers,” so speakers will be talking about ways to improve their community, non-profits they founded, how we interact with AI, and more!

TEDxCongaree Vista was started by students at USC who I have gotten to know over the past few months, and I am very impressed with their vision for this event. They purposely chose to have a community-based TEDx event instead of one focused on the University of South Carolina, which would have been much easier for them to organize. These students think big!

We invited a few members of the TEDxCongaree Vista team, founder Shyam Ganesh Babu and executive producer, Darssan Eswaramoorthi, on the Small Business Saturday Radio show recently, and I wanted to share the episode with you.
